Hit the water around 6:30 pm to water temps ranging from 63 to 65 degrees. Docks are in and so were the motor heads tearing it up.( seeing the motorheads had me thinking its not gonna be a good night) So we ran for cover knowing the fishing wasn't gonna start till around 8 pm. Seen a few boats out fishing, one guy anchored up along the shore and him and his 2 buddies and dog fished from the bank. They were fishing just above Todds favorite fishing hole. They did manage 2 small channels and skipped out around 9:30 pm. I boated the first flat on live bait it went 14.8 lbs at 8:10 pm. Around 8:45 pm CC got the skunk off with a 7lb flat on live we didn't way it and from the picture it may have only been 4 to 5 lbs. Had many of good runs and bait being ripped off the hook as if they were small and not getting the bait all the way in their mouth. Around 10:45 I decided to use a cut bluegill head and within 5 minutes it started getting action, a good pull and no hook up. Reeled it in and no bait. Put on another head and same thing happened. Good run and no hook up. Called it quits at 11:20 pm. Can't say we didn't try, was hoping for a repeat of the night before but that didn't happen.
