Spent the day on the susky with Mike and Ray. Got home around 3 in the afternoon. Mike sent his baits home with us and we were losing them so we figured we'd use them up before they all die. Forecast was calling for a storm to hit around 9 so we figured with the rain it might be a good time. We were worried that the thunder and lightning might shut them down, and that it did! There were 10 boat trailers in the lot when we got there and another showed up right after we launched. We no sooner hit the water an anchored up and it started raining. One small flat boated then the winds kicked up and the sky started lighting up. We headed for cover to wait it out. While we were sitting about four other boats had the same idea.
Once it blew through we headed back out, but the winds got real bad we actually had to anchor up with the boat facing the wrong way. It was tough fishing. One channel boated shortly after the storm then nothing. Maybe it had nothing to do with the storm could have been all the boat traffic. We called it quits about 11:30 and there were 3 boats still on the water and another one launching while we were loading up.
