Got a 55 gal. drum at work the other day, just need to get a pump and filter for it, might try and make something out of a 5 gal. bucket for the filter. Got a few pieces of 2" gas pipe at work that they were throwing away to use for rod holders, they threw a whole trailer load of the stuff in the dumpster.
maybe chop a 5 gal. bucket in half and hang it down through the top somehow. put a couple inches of that black charcoal stuff in the bottom of the bucket and throw a piece of filter material over it, and punch the bucket full of holes around the bottom, then have a submersible pump shoot it down through the top, a couple of holes for overflow protection in case it gets clogged up. Maybe a bubbler too.
Lookin good!!! Is that stuff from home depot ? Can you show us a pic of the drilled hole and tubing insert? Did you drill it on an angle?

Yeah, it's from Home Depot. Not gonna show you the hole I drilled, just don't feel like pulling it all up. I don't believe it matters where you drill the hole or how long the tube is, it will still pull the air through. I just drilled it straight in and pushed it through til it was just sticking into the outet.
