That is a great idea if you take the time to log that stuff. It is a pain in the ass but well worth it in the long run. http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd448/NorthportTroller/Smileys/waytogo.gif

Make sure you log those moon phases too! http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd448/NorthportTroller/Smileys%203/tease.gif http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd448/NorthportTroller/Smileys/laugh.gif

Also, as I said before, those river gauge email notifications are the cat's meow. http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd448/NorthportTroller/Smileys/yes.gif

Get it? Cat's? wink.gif

Ok, using the crest of the river at Norristown Dam as a reference, which was approx 12 noon, you can see buy studying these charts that crest came mainly from the Perkiomen and Valley creeks crests which happened early morning Sat am.

Pottstown did not crest until after that at around 5 or 6 pm Sat. So the lower creeks had a chance to crest and and begin to drain before the surge from the upper parts of Reading and Pottstown had a chance to flow down to this area.

Had those crests met at the same time at Valley Forge Park, it would have been a whole other story on the gauge at Norristown.

Ya know, the way those flows happened this storm it's a bit hard to tell Pottstown to Norristown impact, but I believe it is around 8 hours from what I can remember... http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd448/NorthportTroller/Smileys/think.gif
