Hit the river this evening, was trying to catch bait, and caught 4 channels that were about 7-8 inches, and a walleye about 14. Noticed I didn't have my cat hooks and sinkers and trolled til dark, 1 small musky and a sauger, caught them both on a giant shad rap.

I am looking at you setup there Jay, is that the lure you just bought? And what is the setup on the line, is that braid and a swivel and wire? http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd448/NorthportTroller/Smileys/popcorn.gif

That's an older lure, that new lure is a glide bait for casting. I use a cat rod with 80 lb. braid and a steel leader, I was trolling about 3.5 m.p.h. but you can go faster if you got a lure that will run at high speeds. Only got the baits about 50 ft. behind the boat.

These arches might be muskies, probably carp. My sonar showed a good arch right before I caught 'em.

Dude, you got that thing dialed in nice!!!! What's the trick? I have a hard time betting mine to show arches like that. I figured because it is so shallow here. Deepest water here is like 10-11 ft.

You can run 2 different modes, 1 with fish symbols , the other is called fast track which shows arches. http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd448/NorthportTroller/Smileys/yes.gif

Turn off symbols, and full speed on the tracking. Check.
