I still have to mount this damn depth finder http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx163/bobkyle2/dumb/picard.png

I want to find a in hull transducer for mine. I am sick of that damn thing hanging off the back and hitting shit.

I have been looking around about that, there are mixed reviews. I am not worried about detail, I just want to see the bottom and how deep it is. Also looking at something called a Alumaducer, made just for this application. Also found that if hull is less than .015 thick not to much is lost. Also found out if you mount in the bilge with enough water to submerge at least half of it, it will shoot right through. There is another transducer I have owned in the past also the was a 1/4-3/8" thick and mounted flush to the bottom facing, outside rear of the hull and that worked good too.

Phukit, weather permitting this weekend, I may yank that transducer off and stick it in the bilge and do a test run, I's can's play's guinea pig. http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd448/NorthportTroller/Smileys/yes.gif

Can you hook it up to the backside of the transom near the bootom? Just high enough to miss hitting stuff,. http://i910.photobucket.com/albums/ac305/07Burb/Funky/popcorn.gif
