Wow that thing has more rust than http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx163/bobkyle2/dumb/av-1-1.jpg 's Burb blink.gif

He strapped down a boat fuel tank to it. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx163/bobkyle2/dumb/picard.png

Might as well just run a fuse to it and call it a day.... http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd448/NorthportTroller/Smileys2/shitsweak.gif

??? I've ran the same fuel tank for MANY years... I don't know about you but i dont want the added weight of the 30 gallon fuel tank, And i don't want it hanging under the truck. And you have to have a visible fuel cell in some classes. This truck is pretty well fully stripped.. Only gauges that are in it are the tach witch has trans temp.. intake water temp and oil temp built in... And then it has a oil pressure gauge/head water temp.. and volts that are on boltted to the top of the dash.

all factory gauges are tanked out.

Through the lid..... I had to open up the pickup tube to allowed it to pull more fuel. But i've ran the same tank for years.. Couple different trucks.

On boat fuel tanks like that , the vent is an open screw on the fill lid, that will splash fuel all over in the back of a mud truck. Any mud racing venue that allows that type of setup should be shut down. That is a disgrace.

I've been racing like that since i was 14. I've never had a huge amount of fuel anywhere... How do you think other fuel cells are vented? I've raced this same tank at about 50 different places... Illinois, Indiana, KY, Mo, TN... Alot of the races i raced are NMRO rules. And have never had a tech question the fuel tank. Actually i cannot recall ever have fuel spewing out of it.

You are right. I just checks the rules where I used to race and they are allowed. That is amazing. Knock yourself out man. I would never use that for a fuel cell.

Your just a pansy http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx163/bobkyle2/dumb/smirk.gif All other fuel cells have a vent that just points straight up.. With a vent cap.

I'm prett sure the only rules on the fuel cell is that it has to be strapped down. And not in the drivers cockpit.
