Sorry guy's for not being around a whole lot. I've been working a lot and fishing very little. I got the opportunity to fish for channels one more time before I left Nebraska. I ended up catching the 2nd heaviest channel cat i my life. It was just over 37" and weighed in right at 24#. Biggest head on a channel I have ever seen, most runs from shore I have ever seen, and first cat caught on a flipping bass rod!! hahaha Bobber fishing for cats with ZERO current could be addicting! Here are some snaps guys!....My arms were phuckin cramping 5 minutes into this one!...almost a 10 minute fight.

We were using cut bluegill with an 8/0 khale or big river, not sure. Were were fishing in an old gravel pit. Max depth now, which is low is over 20 ft. We were bobbering down about 4 to 6 ft. This one was about 10 ft off shore, bobbered down 4 feet, and in about 6 ft of water. Lots of structure where the bobber was. Had one other awesome run, and I couldnt get the rod out of the holder http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd448/NorthportTroller/Smileys%203/wavecry.gif ....not good....we were running krazy kat bobbers?...I think thats what they are called

It was totally new for me also. Quite fun though!....It was a site to see a huge bobber with 2 giant glow sticks on it, moving about 20 mph under the water across the pit!!....then BAM! Phuck yea!
