'04 F-250 5.4 gas motor. Fuel pump gone at 50+K miles?

Says there are 5 or 6 different pumps? For a buddy at work. Any info would be great.

Check the fuel pump module.... Its mounted near the spare tire under the rear of the truck...

Take that module down and look over it ... Make sure its not exploded looking. They always go out.

Relay also...

Looks like you need to know what wheel base it is.

I know about these things from fixing some train wrecks blink.gif There's an inertia switch under the passenger side footwell, make sure it gets voltage when you turn on the key.If you don't have voltage check the relays/circuit board. If you figure out you need to change the pump it might be easier to take the bed off.The bolts can be a real bitch though, spray em down real good with penetrating oil & make sure you use a 50 torx plus instead of just a plain ol 50 torx, use a breaker bar & a big piece of pipe.

Yeah, my ranger had an inertia switch up under the glove box on the floor, I had to unplug it to change the fuel filter, then plug it back in and press a button on it when I was done.
Shouldn't you be able to hear the fuel pump kick on when you turn the key on?
