Those shells are chum dude. Take a fresh shell clam and smack it into pieces with the hammer. Use the butter knife to carve th bait out, usually get two baits out of them, hook it cast it out. Use the broken shells as chum. The oil from the clams permeates out from the broken shell pieces as they are carried along the bottom by the current. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Another awesome day on the bay. little more chop out there today but very fishable. set up in the same spot as yesterday and laid into them again. fished the whole outgoing tide , with water temps already around 49 degrees

im gonna catch a little bit of every thing. start fishing at 7 so ill catch the last half of the incoming, and weigh in at 4 so most of the afternoon out going. morning shouldnt be to bad with the wind going with the tide. and hopefully it lays down in the after noon. my big fish this year were caught in 20+mph and 4 foot rollers, maybe its good luck ![]() ![]() Sa 17 Low 4:45 AM -0.5 17 High 10:59 AM 6.7 17 Low 5:41 PM -0.4 17 High 11:29 PM 5.0 |
