A guy from the for forum is having problems with a 92 chevy vandura 3/4 ton van, Says its not charging correctly.
I checked the voltage right off the alternator stud so I was sure nothing was getting lost in bad wires. The van has an LED voltage display, which I checked to make sure it's accurate. Idling, nothing on 14 volts+, that's the highest the scale goes so it's 14 or more. Headlights and a/c on (front and rear), in gear idling 12-12.5 volts. It read 12.2 on AutoZones tester and my DMM said the same thing. With each thing I turn off I gain .5 volts. Turn off rear blower, 12.5-13, turn off a/c entirely, 13-13.5, turn off headlights 13.5-14.
