My son Tyler and his friends found a new pond even closer to the house. I don't even think it's 2 minutes out the road. You have to walk the plank to get there but it's not bad at all. It seems a little sheltered from the wind since it's surrounded by woods. We saw something huge making a nice ripple as it swam around. I am sure the next trip gman will have some bass lures flying. We had a really nice time, heck I am just glad when the kids ask me to tag along. We went for bait but caught a nice variety of fish. There were perch, bluegill, green sunfish, bass, and crappies caught today. We started out using works but found out the artificials worked just as good. I took a few pics, it's a nice size pond, and it's on borough property so anyone can fish there.

Tyler's nice crappie

His girlfriend sitting on the bank, I was very proud of her, she picked a fish up by it's lip and only yelled a little. user posted image

I think tyler got a good scare last year and turned over a new leaf. He didn't care for fishing and this year he asked me to get him his license. He just turned 18 last month, he's doing real well since the accident.

Like the fagot above me said, niceness, a new fishing spot to steal. Now I have something to talk to Cmanjim with over a pint of whiskey.
