Went out for a few last evening, couldn't stay late since I had to run tyler to philly in the morning. Not a steller night but we boated 10 fish. Water temps came up from the previous trip.

We were hesitant on going because the weather wasn't looking too good and I'm still sick. I guess we finally decided to go around 7 so we got a late start but the weather wasn't bad at all. Hit the water around 9:30pm, didn't look much different then the last trip down. The current was a little better as the night went on but there was alot of grass floating by, even clogged the jet up once. We boated a total of 10 flatheads, the two biggest 15lbs and 19 and 1/2 lbs. Phil lost a heck of a fish, he reeled up and the hook was gone, so if you catch a nice flat with a red hook in it's mouth be sure to let us know how big he was. I think we missed about 5 or so, they were running pretty good but then you had a few that weren't taking it, they were just mouthing the bait.

I swore I would never take another trip with him after tuesday but I gave him once last chance to prove he could act somewhat normal. We hit the skuke around 7:30 and headed out. Just as we anchored up phil had a call from vinnie, he was gonna head down too, so we picked him up at the dock at 9. It was a spur of the moment deal but we were glad he came out even though he caught the biggest fish! Water temp was back up to 79, hardly any current, and alot of weeds. I think all together we boated 7 fish, which isn't a bad night for this river.
A few pics.......

I tried to make it look bigger........

and the biggest of the night....a 16lbder....congrats vinnie!

Everytime we fished the susky for flats it's been during daylight hours. We would stay till dark but never later because we couldn't seem to do much after dark. Today was a trip for us to explore and learn a new way on this area of the river. Hit the river around 10pm.The storms passed through earlier in the day but we did get hit with a quick shower. The current was almost nonexistant so we were at the mercy of an upriver wind. We fished shallow and deep with the same results. Live and cut both produced. The water was stained with alot of debris. We accomplished what we set out to do and plan to persue some more night time fishing here. Boated a total of 12 cats, nothing huge, but it was nice to be catching again.

A few pictures of our trip.
